The horn antenna is a broadband passive device, shaped like a pyramid horn, referred to as a TEM antenna, which guides the beam of radio waves at a precise frequency. FT-RF Double Ridged Horn antennas have frequency capabilities ranging from 400MHz to 40GHz depending on type and style. These series are characterized by a huge frequency range and extremely high input powers. With increasing frequency, the gain rises to a maximum of 18 dBi. At higher frequencies, the increased gain compensates for the increasing cable losses.
The advantages of Horn antenna:
- Wide bandwidth: Because the horn antenna has no resonant parts, it can function over a wide range of frequencies.
- Easy waveguide interface: These antennas are very easy to interface to waveguide due to their shape, but they can also be designed with a transition so that a regular coaxial feeder can be used.

國家通訊傳播委員會（NCC）29日舉行「台灣大哥大擬合併台灣之星」聽證會，台灣之星勞方代表身穿「心碎男孩」與「心碎女孩」上衣表達3大訴求，以及台灣之星近2,000名員工過去9個月來的心聲，目前客戶滿意度提升、退租明顯改善，也都是全體員工努力的成果。
台灣大哥大在聽證會上承諾，台灣之星將至少有97%員工留用，合併後也將安排面談，讓同仁了解工作內容與未來規劃，並尊重員工意願，若無意願接受轉任者，也會提供優於勞動法令「優離退方案」供同仁選擇。
對於「台台併」台灣之星1,933名員工權益，台灣之星勞工代表指出，電信及金融業都是國家重要的特許事業，因此，電信產業的發展、國家利益、消費者權益及勞工保障都應由主管機關監督。
參考近期金融業合併案，台灣之星勞工代表表示，存續公司在發布合併訊息後，通常與工會多次協商，金管會也將依據勞資雙方是否取得共識列入審查必要條件。
以富邦金和日盛金合併案為例，金管會曾表示員工權益是最重要的保障，也希望富邦金提出規範內容，相較現有勞動法規有更好表現。
台灣之星勞工代表指出，台灣大哥大與富邦金同屬富邦集團，台灣之星勞工也期盼能夠獲得同等的重視與對待。據了解，同樣是電信合併案，在勞動部及NCC的協助下，亞太工會已與遠傳電信有多次協商，遠傳也表示會保持最大誠意與亞太工會討論員工安置計畫。
「台灣之星員工，甚至連工會組織都沒有。」台灣之星勞工代表表示，員工更迫切需要勞動部、勞動局、NCC等機關參與協助；台灣之星的勞工請求，要將台灣之星與台哥大勞資雙方所取得的共識，納入這次合併案審查要件。
台灣之星勞工代表說明，事實上從宣布合併到今天，只聽到精神喊話「公司有遞交安置計畫文件了，會依法辦理」，但9個月來已累積超過500多位同仁離職，許多員工因為遲遲等不到具體方案，擔心失業難找工作而不得不離開電信產業。
然而，台灣之星留下堅守崗位的1,900多位同仁，除承擔更多工作，等待許久在今天之前只收到公開信說「台灣大及其關係企業將依組織需求與人力，在審核通過後，持續提供經副理級和以下同仁工作機會」。

台灣之星勞工代表強調，看到台灣大哥大全數留用的承諾，但仍未承諾原職原薪留用、也沒有相關細節；至於其他沒有工作機會的員工，未來兩年在電信產業幾乎很難找到工作，卻也沒看到相關的離退方案，「從始至終，台灣大哥大也一直沒和台灣之星勞方進行具體條件的協商。」
台灣之星勞方代表重申3大訴求，第一，懇請勞動部、勞動局及NCC長官參與並促成台灣大哥大與台灣之星勞資雙方立即啟動協商，讓員工盡快取得具體安置計畫、權益保障等具體的措施，安定人心，也不用再擔心失業後的生計陷入困難。
第二，保障全員原職原薪留用台灣大哥大而非關係企業，繼續服務客戶，如有未留任者，應參照金融業的離退方案；第三，期盼將勞資協商取得共識，納入台灣大哥大和台灣之星的合併案審查的必要條件，守護台灣之星近2,000名勞工權益。
針對合併後的員工權益，台灣大哥大法規副總經理李南玫表示，台灣之星經理級（含）以下同仁「全數留用」，不會設留用條件，占比達台灣之星現有員工97%以上；對於副處長級（含）以上主管，則將全力媒合。
李南玫說，在加盟門市權益保障上，合併後台灣大哥大將概括承受台灣之星與加盟門市的合作關係，不因合併而影響既有加盟門市權益。
