The horn antenna is a broadband passive device, shaped like a pyramid horn, referred to as a TEM antenna, which guides the beam of radio waves at a precise frequency. FT-RF Double Ridged Horn antennas have frequency capabilities ranging from 400MHz to 40GHz depending on type and style. These series are characterized by a huge frequency range and extremely high input powers. With increasing frequency, the gain rises to a maximum of 18 dBi. At higher frequencies, the increased gain compensates for the increasing cable losses.
The advantages of Horn antenna:
- Wide bandwidth: Because the horn antenna has no resonant parts, it can function over a wide range of frequencies.
- Easy waveguide interface: These antennas are very easy to interface to waveguide due to their shape, but they can also be designed with a transition so that a regular coaxial feeder can be used.
- Easy to make, simple design.

英特爾（Intel）才剛宣布代工業務加入重量級客戶聯發科（2454），但美國時間28日公布的第二季財報卻讓投資人笑不出來，不但單季意外出現虧損，也調降營運展望，毛利率甚至跌破50%至49%。英特爾並下修2022年全年營收至650-680億美元，與先前預期的減少80-110億美元，獲利也恐比去年腰斬。
英特爾執行長基辛格（Pat Gelsinger）儘管信心喊話未來必須做得更好，但坦言，第二季營運表現低於財測，主要原因受到經濟活動快速下滑影響，但也反映出自身的執行問題。並說，經營團隊會持續應對不斷變化的經營環境，也會專注長期機會與策略加速轉型。
根據英特爾公布第二季財報，單季營收153.21億美元，年減約22%，低於市場預期的 179.2 億美元，依公認會計準則（GAAP）稅後虧損4.54億美元，相比去年同期的獲利51億美元轉虧，毛利率更堪稱慘不人睹，由第一季的 50.4%，下滑至 36.5%，也比年同期的57.1%，大減20.6個百分點，每股虧損0.11美元，而去年同期EPS則為1.24美元。
觀察英特爾第二季主要業務表現三升三降，其中，網路和邊緣運算事業部門營收23億美元，年增11%，優於市場預期；加速運算系統和繪圖事業營收1.86億美元，比2021年同期增加5%。自駕事業Mobileye部門營收4.6億美元，年增41%，為成長率最高業務。
而業務規模最大的客戶端運算事業部門營收77億美元，年減25%；資料中心和人工智慧事業營收46億美元，年減16%，雙雙低於市場預期，但與下游庫存水位高升趨勢吻合。至於晶圓代工服務部門營收1.22億美元，較去年同期則減少54%。
更慘的，英特爾第三季展望，預估營收落約在150-160億美元，年減約12-17%，毛利率非公認會計準則（Non-GAAP）進一步下滑至46.5%，比去年減少11.8個百分點，EPS估約0.35元，比去年大降76%。
也因展望不佳，英特爾全面調降今年財測，年營收估約落在650-680億美元，比先前預估下修80-110億美元，年衰退9-13%，毛利率約49%，年減9.1個百分點，比原預估下調3個百分點，EPS2.3元，比去年腰斬，年減57%，而先前預估為3.6元。資本支出減少約40億美元，至230億美元。
基辛格在法說中提到，庫存狀況10年來未見，相信已是谷底。財務長David Zinsner也說，公司會採取必要措施因應當前經濟環境，隨漲價效應與第四季季節性傳統銷售旺季，將有利毛利率回到目標範圍（51-53%）。

基辛格強調，英特爾長期策略包括製造技術提升、新產品開發與使廠拓展策略不變，更透露像是代工服務已與前十大IC設計公司中的6家洽談。然而，對比台積電（2330）、及AMD、NVIDIA等競爭對手，英特爾的營運數字表現可能是最不如預期的一家。
